Taż-Żgħar is a lovingly, fully renovated old farmhouse, bright and sunny and welcoming as befits the quaint village of Nadur. The downstairs is delightfully comfortable, with a sun kissed living and dining area (including WiFi and a 40” LED TV!) and a complete, fully functioning kitchen with all the appliances needed for anyone in the mood to whip up something delicious.

Taż-Żgħar happily boasts of its 4 double bedrooms, two of which offer a lovely terrace overlooking the internal courtyard and pool. The three bathrooms, all including showers, will wash away your worries and help you relax - and there won’t be any arguments over someone taking too long either!

We love pets so yes, this farmhouse is pet friendly. Fret not, you will also find food and water bowls ready for your pets so they can enjoy their stay too!

Surroundings and village life
Nadur village is situated on the Eastern side of Gozo, just 2.5 km away from the Mgarr Ferry Terminal. This typical traditional village offers fabulous views of almost the whole of Gozo. Nadur has various attractions both architectural and natural wonders. Nadur's Parish Church offers an insight on the pride of this village with its magnificent decorations in the baroque style. Other buildings offer a unique feel to this quaint village.
Natural and unique sites like the beautiful beaches of Ramla, San Blas and Daħlet Qorrot are just 2 kilometers from the village core. Lush green valleys lead to these natural wonders, providing a great setting for various relaxing walks in the countryside. Mixta Cave provides one of the most breath-taking views on the island.
Nadur has three main village events which are quite popular. The main one is the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, the village patron saints. A week long activities leading to the 29th June are organised. The religious rites inside the decorated church, band marches, merry making, street decorations and fireworks are the highlights of the feast.
Nadur boast of the best annual spontaneous carnival of Malta. This event attracts huge crowds of mostly young people all taking part with original, funny and bizarre costumes. Right after carnival Nadur goes on to Lent which leads to Good Friday where the traditional procession with various statues is held. The participation of the locals dressed in biblical costumes offer an interesting pageantry apart from the religious aspect of this yearly event.
